On Easter Sunday, a Catholic church in Sweden opened its mass by unveiling a life-size Lego statue of Jesus. It took nearly 30,000 legos to make the statue -- legos that were donated by the congregation. I know Sweden is the home of legos and all, but I have to wonder if a lot of little kids went home from church to nothing to play with, since all their legos were in the statue.
On the other hand, it looks pretty amazing.
On the third hand: lego Jesus? Seriously? Am I the only one who finds this more than a little strange?

I happen to think the Lego Jesus is absolutely brilliant. Although, I saw a Jesus carved out of Velveeta once, and that was pretty good too!
I guess I just don't really get the point. I mean, anything made out of 30,000 Legos is impressive, but I don't know why a Lego Jesus for Easter is necessary. Kinda funny though. (No offense to Jesus) :)
I think a Lego Jesus might be better than a chocolate Easter Jesus ... that kids can eviscerate and eat ...
Idk ...
But this blog is hysterical!
I cannot even think of one single thing to say - which is pretty darn amazing! Banner Headline - Mrs F Struck Dumb!
and that it took 18 months to do it in.. even stranger..
Sure, every Easter when I pull out my boys legos there is the face of jeesus staring back at me. Just like the one on the grilled cheese and the tree. My lego jesus crys tears of clear red plastic blood, does yours?
The Swedes are apparently crazy. But LEGOS were invented by a Dane; surely no one in Denmark has time for this what with being so busy making LEGOS!
That's both crazy and impressive.
